Emotional Support

Infertility can be physically and emotionally challenging for women and men trying to have a baby. It can be a life crisis for many, often described as an emotional rollercoaster.

Infertility can also cause feelings of isolation. But, our patients are not alone. Support is available to help women and men cope with the ups and downs and the emotional challenges they may face while trying to conceive.

RMA of Philadelphia works with a number of support professionals who specialize in issues affecting women and men struggling with infertility. Support groups, mind-body programs and individual or couples counseling can help address the personal needs of each of our patients. We encourage our patients to seek emotional support and help connect our patients with a support professional, to learn ways to cope with the stress and emotional challenges infertility can cause.

Our team of mental health professionals and counselors specialize in reproductive health, and works closely with our patients, providing consultation and treatment services. They are dedicated to helping women and men experiencing medical problems including infertility, pregnancy and pregnancy loss. Our counselors use a variety of techniques to help patients through the emotional rollercoaster of infertility treatment, including guided imagery, hypnosis and various relaxation tech
